This is Edward Dorn's last collection of poems, written while battling cancer and the drugs he took to fight the disease.
"In a poem remembering Ed, his old friend Amiri Baraka described him, 'Thin straight blonde Cowboy /Movie looking white guy with the mind/Of a saw.'
He didn't see Ed after his weekly chemo sessions or the day he weighed less than 130 pounds. But what Amiri said about him in the same poem: 'I dug Ed Dorn because he would rather/Make you his enemy/ Than Lie,' stayed true until the end."
