He has won both the William Carlos Williams Prize and the Theodore Roethke Prize for poetry, among other awards.

Gary Gildner  lives in Idaho’s Clearwater Mountains. He has published eighteen books of poetry, fiction, and memoir, his most recent being My Grandfather’s Book (Michigan State University Press, 2002), a memoir. He has won numerous awards for poetry, including the Theodore Roethke Prize and the William Carlos Williams Prize for poetry. He has taught at universities across the country, and has been a Senior Fulbright Lecturer in Poland and Czechoslovakia.
