William Studebaker is a poet, essayist, and outdoor photographer.
He is a correspondent and feature writer for the Times-News and a feature writer for Idaho Magazine. He frequently publishes in Tertulia, an on-line magazine, journals and reviews. William teaches literature classes for Idaho State University. And he is a partner in the Idaho Whitewater Safety and Rescue company for which he teaches river safety and kayaking. He was recently awarded the Idaho Humanities Council's Outstanding Humanist Award for 2005.
His recent books are Passions We Desire (Limberlost), River Religion (Limberlost), Travelers in an Antique Land (Caxton Press), and Short of a Good Promise (WSU Press). He lives with his wife Judy near Twin Falls, Idaho.

William is available to do workshops and readings. He has specialty workshops in mandala structures for writing, creating subtext, and natural metaphors.
Originally letterpressed in an edition of 500 copies, all that remains of the entire edition are a few of the signed and lettered copies bound in cloth and boards.
